The S.S Delvo, sculpture based on Ryan's sketch (age 8)

This sculpture was based on a drawing that one of my students gave me titled 'S.S Delvo.' Originally sketched on board of education paper, I wanted to capture the rebellion in Ryan's drawing. I extruded the design to the viewer at warped, jagged angles, to both capture the immediacy of children's expression and to enhance the viewers awareness of the confrontational message.
